from 1213 reviewsThese really help in the rain. On regular days they block the wind so my pants legs don’t blow up my leg. Great product.

I have a 1989 Goldwing 1500 and this oil filter works great! It's easy to install and works perfectly. Thank you Cyclemax for your terrific customer service!

Work perfect after I got it hooked up

These look terrific. Can install tire pressure monitors on the top and add air from the side. They are just what I needed.

was easy to install and I found an easier way to break lose the sheet metal around where the shifter goes without cutting or drilling. I finally put the big cover back on last night after riding over 200 miles. I wanted to make sure I didn't have any oil leaks from the shifter seal. I had to use thread lock because when I snugged up the bolt enough to hold it on, then it made the shifter not abel to shift down into 1st gear all the way.

Just what I was looking for . This is quality ( not Chinese knock off)

Great products, quick ship, great to deal with as a company!

Bought another 1500 and needed to replace missing ones

Experience with Cyclemax was fantastic. Fast shipping, well-packed, arrived in perfect condition.
I’d give the deflectors a solid 4 stars (giving cyclemax 5, because the nitpicks are with the MFR)
Hard to say if they’re worth the price, but they are well made. I picked up both upper and lower sets. Cyclemax only had the lowers in stock, so I sourced the uppers elsewhere.
The Good:
They look great, if you like the aesthetic (this is subjective- but they at least don't look cheap). Sturdy, smoked plastic with a solid build and tight joints. Fitment is excellent. Tolerances are high enough that they look OEM once installed.
They do move air. I ride year-round here in Texas, cross-country, iron butt style. I’m 6'5" and spend most of my ride with feet out on the highway pegs, so I’m constantly in the path of hot engine air. These deflectors help cut that down noticeably. I thought the flared setting on the wings might bring in cool air. That’s not how they work. But in cold weather, that flare will direct a blast of warm air straight into the rider zone. So while they reduce hot air now, I think they’ll really shine come winter. I'd say they drop the heat by 10 to 20 percent, which isn’t nothing, but may not justify them if you only ride in hot weather.
The Bad (Not Cyclemax's fault):
This applies to the uppers only (again, bought elsewhere): Kuryakyn shipped them with the wrong hardware. Screws were too short to use. I had to replace them myself. Just two screws, but still annoying.
(supposed to be m5 8x20 - shipped 8x16 or something, replaced with 8x22)
As for install, the lowers came with the right hardware and were simple to mount, but the screw holes are angled in two planes. Take your time. Dry fit first. The screws are threading into floating clips inside the fairing. If you try to brute force it, you won't even get the chance cross-thread them, you'll just wiggle around and never get a bite on the threads. Finesse is key. -overall they sized down the hardware, not a problem, but I just don't like an aftermarket part being dinky-er than the oem. I think you go form a size 8 or 6 metric hex with the stock bolts, to a 4, this isn't super important, but why step down? just seems like something and MBA thought of to save 6 cents a unit.
Bottom Line:
Glad I bought them. I’ve got about 250 miles on the set so far and no complaints. I expect they’ll earn their keep when temps drop. Hope this helps.
