2018 Goldwing Quick Detach Backrest

This is a quick detach backrest. This is made by Show Chrome and is designed to attach through the OEM seat opening. Only the backrest pad perches through the driver seat which eliminates all side mounting brackets and the backrest hoop, making a very clean look. Big Bike Parts expands on the adjustability of its Smart Mount Backrests with this quick detachable design. The backrest seat mount and backrest mount have been redesigned to incorporate a slide lock system that allows the backrest mount to attach through the seat opening onto two lock bolts that easily secures the backrest. A little lift and pivot forward or back, depending on fitment, allows the entire backrest pad and assembly to be removed in seconds with no above the seat hardware visible. This new backrest utilizes Big Bike Parts copyrighted backrest pad hinge and adjustable tongue, allowing the backrest pad to mount up or down with 1” of adjustment as well as pivoting with 3" of forward to back adjustment, allowing you to stretch while riding. On the new Goldwing, Honda offers two seat choices. They offer either a stock seat or an upgrade to their custom seat, which has more padding and actually raises the seat 1 ½” more than the stock seat. To accommodate the custom seat, Big Bike Parts® has a tall version of its Quick Detachable Smart Mount™ Backrest for the Goldwing. The removable mount is 1 ½” taller to accommodate the custom seat and is still easily detachable providing a clean look when not installed. Be sure to make your selection when ordering. This comes with complete instructions and all required hardware. NOTE: The B52-920T backrest for the custom seat does not come with the large vinyl gasket as pictured in the B52-920 backrest for the standard seat. If you attempt to install the tall backrest on the standard seat, you will need to purchase the gasket separately.
